Matias Mac Tastatur verliert ständig Bluetooth Verbindung - getauscht gegen Apple Magic Keyboard

Ich wollte Euch hier kurz ein Feedback geben zu meiner länger genutzten Matias Bluetooth Tastatur. Sie war an einem 27" iMac 2014 im Einsatz. Toll an Ihr ist dass sie schwarze Tasten mit Hintergrundbeleuchtung hat und auch der Akku lange hält. Genervt hat mich aber, dass sie ständig die Bluetooth Verbindung verloren hat. Ich musste so oft neu starten, ich habe irgendwann nicht mehr mitgezählt. Das alles hat mich irgendwann so genervt, dass ich beschlossen habe eine andere Tastatur zu verwenden.

Zum Einsatz kommt nun ein Apple Magic Keyboard mit Ziffernblock. Wer vielleicht vor der gleichen Entscheidung steht, kann sich mal ein Bild von beiden machen (mit dem Bild das ich gemacht habe ) Die Apple Version ist ein bißchen schmaler und die Tasten sind etwas knackiger. Ich hoffe bei der ist die Bluetooth Verbindung jetzt stabil.

Eine ähnliche Erfahrung musste ich leider auch machen. Hatte sogar Matias geschrieben wegen des Problems. Daraufhin habe ich relativ zügig vom Support folgende englischsprachige Antwort erhalten:

For the sake of completeness and, in an effort to get your said Matias keyboard working for you, we have steps for you to try:

1. ensure the Matias keyboard is fully charged - after it is fully charged, unplug the charging cable from the Matias keyboard;

2. click on your Mac "System Preferences", then click on the "Bluetooth" icon and ensure that Bluetooth is ON, then in the "Devices" Box locate the Matias keyboard and click on it to "Remove/Delete" the Matias keyboard;

3. press the on/off button on the top edge of the Matias keyboard for 5 seconds - then let go - this will reset the Matias keyboard to factory settings;

4. briefly press the on/off button on the top edge of the Matias keyboard and see what color appears in the caps lock light - if it is green, go to the next step - if it is yellow, then briefly press the on/off button again and see that the light in the caps lock is green;

5. press one of the pairing buttons (that are above the number pad) until it flashes blue, then let go;

6. then check the "Devices" Box where you will see the Matias keyboard listed once again, select it and pair/connect to it - then you will see a message on your computer saying “connected”; and

7. open a Word document, a Notes page or Safari to test out that the Matias keyboard works.

In the event that the wireless connection continues to be lost, one thing that could be causing it is some wireless interference with a nearby device. Here is an article written by Apple on this topic:

Although there is no “one size fits all” solution, here are some things that have worked for other people in the past to resolve interference with wireless keyboards.

When multiple Bluetooth devices are in play, it sometimes helps to clear all the devices then repair them all. Try following these steps and then pair the devices again:

We would advise pairing the Matias keyboard first, then your other devices, to have the Matias keyboard closer to the top of the Bluetooth stack.

Some people have found that moving the locations of their devices helps. For example, if you have a WIFI adapter or cell phone located next to the Bluetooth keyboard, try repositioning the adapter or cell phone to be further away. Sometimes there can even be problems if a wire is immediately next to wireless devices - again, move the wire a little further away from the wireless device and see if that helps resolve the interference.

Lastly, you may want to - in your Mac, go to System Preferences, General. Toward the bottom there is an option called "Allow handoff between this Mac and your iCloud Devices” - you could un-check this option. This feature uses Bluetooth, and it may cause interference problems for the Matias keyboard or other non-Apple manufactured keyboards.

Fazit: Support sehr schnell. Anleitung ist Bastelarbeit und hilft nicht dabei die fehlerhafte Konstruktion der Tastatur wieder in den Griff zu bekommen. Wer es allerdings mal probieren will, kann gerne der Anleitung des Supports folgen.

Insgesamt rate ich von der Matias ab. Idee gut (mit Beleuchtung, Apple Design), aber Umsetzung schlecht. Amazon- Bewertungen bestätigen dieses leider.
